That is true.

In fact it say’s exactly the opposite.  If you don’t specifically have
permission it is wrong.

I don't think that it explicitly says the opposite, but regardless, you
have a point.

On the other hand, if Larry divulged personal information about you without
knowing that it was private, do you think it is accurate to call that a
personal attack?

Friends could perhaps take liberties based upon knowledge but given that
Larry and I have never met it was clearly wrong of him to tell the
community in general anything about me even if he feels it is already
known by my friends and acquaintances.

Larry says he learned of your employement at LEGO from the Chicago LEGO
Yahoo Groups mailing list.  On that list, didn't you speak openly of your
employement at LEGO?

It would be wrong if a run of the mill user did this, however it
is particularly egregious when it is a violation by an administrator.
Given that his actions had consequences there can be no doubt left that
it was a violation.

So just so I understand, do you mean that his repeating here of information
that he learned on another LEGO community list is what you feel violated
your privacy?  That the Chicago LEGO mailing list is private, whereas
LUGNET is public?

Thanks for answering my questions.  I realize this all must be very
uncomfortable for you.
