Michael, You can program the RCX and CyberMaster with quite many languages (such as Visual J++, Visual C++, Visual Basic) using the spirit.ocx. Also the RCX ControlCenter with NQC is pretty good. G'Day If you are willing to use 'non-pure Lego' parts, then Radio Shack has a telephone cord 'detangler' that plugs into standard RJ-11 jacks, has 4 conductors, and 360 degree motion.
