I put in some debug code to catch rotations which skip a state (transitions like 3->1 or 0->2) which the legOS table `diff2change' currently translates to 0 steps (because we can't be sure whether that was 2 steps forward or 2 steps back). Install ActivePerl ((URL) switch to the boot directory, and type MAKE. That's it. I was getting very erratic readings from a rotation sensor (if I put a pendulum on it and moved it back and forth the 0 position would wander all over the place). Hi! I have given QC a try and noticed that after shutting the RCX off and restarting it, one does not go back to the QC application, but the ROM routines are in control. Ralph, Many of us out here REALLY DO appreciate the work that has gone into PBForth. I see it as a programming tool similar in spirit to the Emu movement out there. (...) NQC sends a command over the IR to what it expects to be the stock Mindstorms firmware. I know the `-d' option always reports the battery voltage so that may be it. This is my proposed solution to the problem with the NQC beta and RcxCC. As a quick recap, the problem is that RcxCC uses an exec line which has one quoted argument ending with a backslash: nqc -E"temp.log" -L"temp.lst" -I"C:\NQC\CC\" temp.nqc The (...) I parallel two motors frequently with no ill effects. There is no generation taking place. It looks like I have most of the problems solved. However, one serious problem seems to be related to the length of the command line. I just double checked my setting. Unfortunately, that was not the problem. Since it can find the compiler and build the .o files with no problem, TOOLPREFIX is definately set properly. Thanks anyway.
