Surely you're not trying to imply that people who are fans of Lego
but don't take part in on-line discussion groups are any less deserving
of buying Lego? (I know that's not implied by your definition of
'community', which I think is reasonable. But you do seem to be implying
that selling Lego to anyone outside the 'community' is bad, if I haven't
misunderstood you).
Personally if I ever sell any Lego (which I haven't done yet but I'm sure
I will do soon) I'd like to feel it's going to an adult who'll take care
of it for years, and sell it on if/when s/he's finished with it,
rather than to a kiddie who'll lose half the bits within
a few months (perhaps that's being unfair to some kids - I'm sure they're not
all like that). But beyond that I'm not really going to care who I sell
it to as long as I make as much money as I reasonably can.
