Re: What's a Hover Dirt Bike?

(...) Thanks Gil, The 'diorama' approach does beat the hanging sheet backdrop, for sure. I believe that (URL) Paul> and (URL) Keith> (among others) would agree it takes rather a lot more bricks to build a background for some MOCs. The 'bike' is only (...)   Re: NBA Space Container Madness - Let the flames begin

(...) Hello Manfred, No apology necessary. I did ask to be corrected, as I had an inkling that I was wrong. So, correction appreciated. That story is hilarious and well worth pointing out again for those of us who missed it. And, it's nice to see (...) (21 years ago, 17-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: PCS Troopers are GO!

(...) Mission accomplished! (...) Gotta love those (URL) swoopy '50s!> I think the studs work on this, and I think that's the point about the whole studs vs. studless dilemma. It's important to look at the design as a whole; the way studs are (...) (21 years ago, 17-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Spyder autonomous defense droid

The Spyder autonomous defense droid is used mainly for the purpose of base defense. It's relatively weak armor and use of one autocannon means it needs to stay in a big group, or work together in packs. Programmed to be quite determined and (...) (21 years ago, 17-Apr-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Jade Empire: Jiao-zhan Dou

(...) Ryan, this thing is amazing. I've been pretty heavy into lurker mode as of late, but I had to give kudos for this one. The flow of the wings matched with the organic nature of the dino tails gives it a great look. Very contrasty and clashy but (...) (21 years ago, 17-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Jade Empire: Jiao-zhan Dou

(...) What kind of stuff did you do when you edited them? Did you adjust any color/lighting properties? A few of them (i, l, m, o, & x) look like the colors are correct. There's just a hint of purplish wash on the right side of pics o & x that (...) (21 years ago, 17-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Jade Empire: Jiao-zhan Dou

(...) Remember that the Elefant was not designed as an original Jade Empire ship. They buy it from the Eastern Block, so while the color scheme was tailored to their tastes, the physical construction should not be considered representative of the (...)   Re: Warrior Bots

Bots with capes? I'd expect something like that from a tortured 'artiste' like Deering. I think you've been hangin' with pot-bot for too long. Why not a beret, or epaulettes? We here at the Reich refused to be intimidated by automatons with inverted (...) (21 years ago, 17-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Jade Empire: Jiao-zhan Dou

Hey Ryan, this little Jade empire number is pretty sweet. It looks like it was inspired by your cylon-p38, with a little podness thrown in for good measure. The use of the dino-tails was a nice flavor to help set it apart as a JE construct. Upon (...) (21 years ago, 17-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Jade Empire: Jiao-zhan Dou

(...) In the beginning, it was largely based off Lenny's Elefant and Steve's Sinicus, but obviously I needed to take liberties and work on my own style for the theme. The cockpit portion of the ship is vaguely similar to the style of Keith's current (...) (21 years ago, 16-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Jade Empire: Jiao-zhan Dou

(...) Thanks for the words, David. I edited the pictures on a mac at school, but now that I've seen them on a couple of different PCs I am dissatisified with the colors.
