I just called S@H and they said that the light sensor <set:9758> has been discontinued. This really surprises me, as I think this is the most useful sensor they have. Yes. The website used to work with Netscape, but now does not even begin to load before giving a fatal error. It works perfectly with IE. Unless I am missing something here, the Sharp range of IR distance sensors all have power consumptions in the 35mA range, which prohibits their use with the RCX unless you resort to using external power packs. Another option for repairing scratches on a CD are toothpaste. Using your fingers and light pressure it is often possible to smooth the scratch enough to make the CD readable. Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever worked out a way of communicating direct with the RCX (via serial), rather than using the IR tower. Some more clarifications: (...) The LightSensor can be used as a IN *and* OUT vll sensor, only the IN port's dedicated to bidirectional comms. (...) Lego Light or the Fiber optic light unit's LED (...) I meant IN port. (...) I keep making this (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Hiya :) Well, I'm still waiting for the RCX... it's supposed to arrive in 4 weeks :/ Anyway, these are the things I got so far: 1) It's possible to use the OUTport->INport direct electrical connection *IF* one uses the Off() and Float() commands to (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
