I see around here, people are playing around with diffrent types of things to put on the RCX output port. Like not orginal lights, motors, bells and so on. Some even puts several motors on one port. I think what you want is a 4-wheel-steering car; or better yet, a tricycle - one motor for drive, one motor for steer. I'm just looking for something a little less vulneralble to failing under accidental stress (i.e. - binding of parts), and at the same time use that same feature to be able to support much more weight as could regular chain links (not conveyor (...) Rob's suggestion of calling the LEGO Outlets is the best bet. The Dawsonville, Georgia store has a bunch of the 9709, which is the 1.0 RCX (external jack version) brick only. Last time I picked some up they were around $60. jt (...) (23 years ago, 18-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

I worked on a similar project about a year ago. I needed to put a small mark on the inside the a CD ring at a certain spot (or pretty near). I had to do this to 4000 CD's. Ralph, The second parameter to the task is a pointer to an array of pointers. Those pointers (under DOS and other OSes) normally point to parameters on the command line (string data). using the trouble shooter supplied with the lego mindstorm kit, i determined that i didn't have firmware, and that was preventing me from getting action with rcx command center. once i downloaded the firmware, it worked like a charm. thanks for all (...) Hi again, You're right. I opened the console and the 2 cables were (rather coarsely) connected to the cables that go to the battery leads. I guess that means I can't connect the transformer without further modifications? BTW, I saw your version of (...) (23 years ago, 15-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

ok here is what i have been up to. i am running windows 2k sp3. I have a brand new 1.5 set. i hooked up the infra red unit to serial port 2. First I uninstalled my current version of quicktime. then i installed the full install from the cd. (...) (23 years ago, 15-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Hopefully you aren't using that large of a page file to compensate for lack of physical RAM. If that's the case, then your page file is probably corrupted. hmm... it installs just fine but it doesn't seem to run. it hangs on a screen that says loading. when i kill the process probe.exe there is an error alert behind it that says quicktime needs at least 3mb of virtual memory to operate.... i don't get (...) this is frustrating.... i got my hands on this software called brick command center that seems to see my brick. but when i try to upload to it, i get a error. the remote feature doesn't seem to work. I dont' know. someone running windows 2k and (...) (23 years ago, 15-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)
