I think I found the key to my previous success at getting VCS to run on W2K/XP. This is the good news - The bad news is you need to get a copy of RIS 2.0 and run the VCS update utility on the RIS CD. Greetings, From the specs ((URL) the unit you have (LVS) supports a RS232C level connection. Since the HandyBoard uses TTL level signals, you would need an RS232C to TTL interface. Be sure you get the proper Max232 chip. I bought another, because I was having serial port problems, and thought it might be the Max232 chip... But the new one I bought wasnt *quite* right. I thought originally you were interested in building .icb files, not rebuilding the pcode file. If you want to rebuild the pcode, you need the HB distribution of the pcode, which is at (URL) . You cannot program them independantly, but you can make sure your programs respond to different IR messages during normal operation. All RCX's will receive the messages, but as long as only one responds with some action then independant control is (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics)

(...) cybermaster is still out there. www.dya-shopping.com has them for ~$100. That was the good news. The bad news is: 1. DYA has the french version. I take it the cybermaster, radio controlled kit is not available. Is there an equivalent radio controlled program to work with the RCX? Hi, It looks like you really meant a single "byte". To my understanding from the RCX 2.0 (with usb port) SDK available from Lego, the "byte" would have to be wrapped up in a certain way, such as leading sync bytes plus a number of conditions to form (...)
