Yep

I got this box of goods from Acroname, containing a sonar module and some
servos.  promptly tore it open, soldered the sonar jack to the board, and
then apparently plugged the cable in backwards.  When it didn't work, I put
my hand on the sonar board, and the socketed chip nearly burned my hand, and
I smelled a BAD smell.

So after turning my HB off (and reading the directions), I turned the cable
around, and also soldered the wire from j12 to digital input 7, which I
forgot.  But unless someone knows of some "tricks" the damage appears to be
done, cause it doesn't work :-(

Is this board salvageable?  Can I buy the socketed chip?  Or is it now a
wall decoration?

Thanks!

Sam
