even better !

Well ok,
but another way could be to monitor it's output (in the past in generated .....)
and to shut it down when no more ... arrive.
So the timeout parameter can disappear totally.
I don't critize your work, but only try to make it better ;-)

Again great.

Even greater !
I want to have it for 2 reasons:
1. I'm a Delphi programmer, so I'm used to it
2. I use such a feature in JALcc and I'm not totaly satisfied with it, so I'd

The only thing we now need is the equivalent of
Delphi / Tools / Configure Tools / ...
So we can for instance start Guido Truffeli's fantastic "Bricks Music Studio",
see
http://www.aga.it/~guy/lego.htm
The next step is of course to ask Guido to put the contents on the clipboard
and, so we can get the music direct into Brixcc.
keep on with the good work,
best regards,
