Hello Vancouverites, I was looking through the canadian sites and ran across your discussion. We also considered a plastic barrier for our layout, but decided against it based on cost. I just rescued two doors from the dumpster at our complex. One has a hole in one side (as well as doorknob holes) but they are good enough to be covered in baseplates and skirting. Just another thought ... For this first show (TTOS in Richmond) we do have free tables available for use. Should I inquire as to sizes and see if we could make them work for us? Did a Home Depot run today, and checked prices, availability, etc. I also picked up all the stuff to make the sign post, etc. I came home, prepared it, and put it together. It looks great! We've had some interest from yet another Train show. They actually asked the Trains 2001 show organizers for our contact information! The show is the Mount Cheam Lions Club Model Railway Show. We are confirmed for the August 5th TTOS show. Actually, we might be displaying on the 4th as well. I have a question in about that. We have display space of 16 by 24 feet!! I have a TD layout that I put together last night ready to upload - as soon as I can get through to the shared area on Dean's server I'll put the TD file and a GIF of the layout up. I'm playing around with the Hogwarts Express train engine, and am still stymied by the large wheels. I don't really want to buy any new stuff right now, so as a last chance, I'd see if any of you had any of these pieces, either for trade, or just to (...) I have emailed the Trains 2001 people with our request to be in the main hall, with the dimensions we've been talking about (12' x 18' with exposure on all 4 sides). I've mentioned that there is a good chance that Lego will be sending out (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

I received email from the Trains 2001 people. It sounds like we can get the space we need. However, he's asked if we would agree to be upstairs in an expanded multi-purpose room.
