Great Robin! Look forward to seeing it.

Probably OK, we're not going to be putting much if any stress on this.

Cutting this stuff, even the 5/64" thickness, with an Xacto knife would be a
MAJOR pain in the neck. Not only is it a lot of work simply by the number of
times you need to run the knife along (Lucite is HARD) but I guarantee there
will be places where the knife wanders and damages the piece cosmetically,
and we may have worse trouble, due to the pressure required, with pieces
cracking and breaking. One sheet only gives us about 3 linear inches
surplus length, so we don't have any room for error. If we can't get the
stuff cut for us (and I woudln't want HH to cut it, it needs a specific type
of saw blade and a careful cut so as not to melt the plastic), surely one of
us knows someone with a table saw .... OK, Spencer my SO has a friend with a
workshop and a table saw which we could probably use. He'll ask and I'll let
you know when I know the answer.

OK, I'll do some phoning around.
We could also take a look for used banquet tables (the 30 x 96" size that
Robin and Bryan have) to replace two of the door tables. We'd still need 2
doors to keep the same width of layout.

We have $85 or so in hand (and can expect about teh same from the Nov Trains
show) , 4 door-tables at these prices ($15 door, $18 sawhorses) would cost
us about $132.

Heavy stuff, and edges harder to attach plexi to. Screwing into edge grain
of fibreboard is a waste of time, plywood rather less so.

Will do.

If we didn't choose to use the higher tables, these would work fine with the
existing banquet tables, but otherwise the height difference is a pain.
