What happened to the old days?  I don't remember Lego being this un-"fun":

Do you think posts like this make it better, or worse?

Since you've asked this question directly, probably worse or neither.  Those who
post directly on the topics themselves are the worst offenders, either pro or
contra.  I'm just opining on the posters themselves, which is probably not any
better, just one layer of abstraction up.

Put it this way, I'm not adding anything constructive, I'm just saying I wish
the situation wasn't like this.

You compare these issues to schoolyard misbehavior.

If I remember correctly, the best way to deal with much of that was to ignore
it.  The people behaving badly will run out of steam and stop it...or they
won't, but let them have their own un-fun.

It's very hard to ignore it when there's a 150 post monster of a thread eating
up the top highlighted posts.  Two of the items I mentioned, the Maersk ship and
the "custom" ships being sold, were the top two news items in this week alone.

I don't usually participate in them, but I do usually comment on the the threads
themselves outside of them, because it's kinda like the 800 pound gorilla in the
room that can't be avoided.

I will continue having fun with Lego despite anything that could possibly be
posted here.

I think most people agree at least on this :)

Calum
