I had the chance to visit CRS Robotics in Hamilton today, and I was so inspired by their [relatively] new F3 robot I had a go at building one. Hi, Collecting money for participating is fair. It show commitments from the participants and it helps paying the room. One thing I've noticed is that everyone gets something different out of events-someone might see a mechanical challenge, another, a programming problem. Some think of it an afternoon of fun. I had such a great time as well! As per usual, though, I was too focused on getting my stack 'bot to work that I didn't spend enuf time socializing.
