because we are in a public library, we have to be out at a VERY specific
time.  this is sad cause we never got to finish the sumo games.  our
choice's were to be better organized so that we can have BOTH games.....
or drop the sumo. YA, like we'll ever get that organized.

Yes.  One event.  That or two events but one has to be ridiculously easy to
run.  Ie, both should run on the playfield.  No more of this coffee table
stealing business.

maybe some kind of "hot potato" game,   or ???? what?

I just don't see any more stackers.   Dave S.  had a Seattle robot
gathering and one of the contests was to build a bot that pushed all
your opponents blocks out of your zone. (or something like that)

I'm really impressed by that game because the robots can be very simple or
very complex.  You can have:

-Simple two motor robots that just push around blocks
-Robots that can toss blocks (out of the field or to the other side)
-Robots that can hoard blocks, then dump at the end of a game
-Pairs of robots (ie, team based games) which communicate to each other.
-Software based strategy (ie, message passing, mapping) or hardware based
strategy (faster drive mechanisms, grabbing and lifting mechanisms to remove
blocks)

I'm extremely excited by the prospect of a multiplayer game, as many of our
members now have multiple RCXs, while people can still play with one too.

(...) hummm don't get too focused on a stacker. Calum and I were chatting and this seems as good a place as any to express what we thought. 1. we want to go back to only one event. because we are in a public library, we have to be out at a VERY (...)
