Okay, you're right. i was too simplistic. 6% on books & food, 17.5 on
the rest.

Round here, we don't have locla brands, and the price is set by the
government to be the same on all packets, everywhere.

Well, we buy _all_ oil from abroad. I believe we do have one or two
refineries, not to mention Shell, here, though. The answer is: taxes.
I believe of the 2.20 guilders, at least 1.50 is taxes, IIRC.
