If you want to change this website’s orientation and ask that it should be called Bugnet instead, go ahead, maybe you will succeed and this whole clone issue will be irrelevant. But as of now, it’s not.

It doesn’t matter what the site is called -- what is it’s purpose? To celebrate bricks or brand loyalty?

You have to ask? Maybe you do not visit the index page that ofen.. it clearly says this:

“Global community of LEGO enthusiasts LUGNET™ unites LEGO fans worldwide through discussion groups, web pages, and services. As an independent site by fans, for fans, it is neither owned nor operated by the LEGO Company.”

Maybe I am wrong, but maybe, just maybe thats the point of Lugnet? I see the brand name “Lego” not Tyco, not MegaWhatever - but Lego.

And you can have a 2x4 brick in Lego, Tyco and MegaWhatever - but that does not mean they are indeed the same. The may look the same but so what? We can be a “fan of the brick” and still only like Lego.

A quick check on godaddy, com shows “BUGNET.US” is still open, maybe you should go register it, put up your own boards so you can point and laugh and call all us Lego only fans ‘idiots’ all you want.
