I'd say your observation is spot on. Costco had sets in bulk last year and they were a bit older, and quite a bit better sets in terms of value vs retail and set intrinsic quality (unless you LIKE juniorization). Dya has the Explorian Ship for US $40 or so and shipping is like $15 or so ground. So it evens out, even though it's coming from France and you don't get the instant gratification. I figured out that the set number to this so called ZB exclusive is 6464. In the Holiday S@H catalog, it is listed as not available in any store. As far as my comment about trans-shipping between TRU stores: I have it clarified now. TRU will trans-ship between stores "in the same region". A local department store here in Aachen, Germany, is offering the 1997 Model Team Set #5561 "Big Foot 4 x 4" for 79 DM (40 Euro / 42 US$). I went by KB Toys today, they didn,t have the buy one get one for 50% off. I did find Model Team 5561 Big foot for $39.99!!!! These had limited release outside of S@H. I went to my local KB Toy store and no sale on Lego. I spoke to the manager and she said that Toyworks is a different division but if I have the cirular from Toyworks, she would match the price. I have to side with Larry (and Mike, too I guess). I am sure companies use these limits (one per person/per household) to maximize the effectiveness of their special deal. This is a little late, but the packaging is a special Lego Box, not a tray with the sets and shinkwrap. The set is described as a Super Set that builds the two big robots.
