I do like the accessories. I want a buzz-saw for some of my guys.
I guess my main bias against the Res-Q theme is that I don't like the set
designs. I like to think that I buy sets mainly for parts, but I admit that
the original set design plays a bigger role in my decision-making than I would
like. A secondary bias is that I can never seem to find anywhere remotely
close to a decent deal on them (a decent deal for me is still roughly $.10-.12
per piece, as outdated as that might be by now). And I also have a problem
finding any Res-Q sets except for one of them which always pops up at every
store (i forget which one right now). It's as if that particular set was
designated "the Res-Q" set and got sent to all the stores, to the exclusion of
all the other Res-Q sets.
But I agree with you to the extent that there are other themes that seem to be
much worse off than Res-Q.
I guess this is off-topic. Sorry.
