(...) Hmm, waitasec... John... When you say "we'll," does that mean that the auction you were pointing to was your own? If so, the obvious next question is how come you didn't simply not host copies of the images on your separate non-auction website (...)   Seeking info - Defense Archer - Europe only set?

When I was looking at the lego.com catalog a few weeks ago to preview the new Castle sets (they have since vanished - a mistake at LEGO?), I saw under the Knight's Kingdom heading a small set that greatly interested me. I didn't write down the name (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Seeking info - Defense Archer - Europe only set?

(...) Well, I also remember this mini-set... and recently John DiRienzo posted something that had 4801 and 4807 as numbers for sets (that he didn't have scans for, but he knows about, I guess), so it's probably one of those... I checked Lego's site (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Seeking info - Defense Archer - Europe only set?

I don't think that is available yet. And, apparently that picture was not supposed to debut so soon, as we've been told, and they would prefer we didn't discuss it. It "sounds" like a polybag set, except in one of those little bitty boxes. Maybe (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

It may have been 4801 - Defence Archer It may have contained the minifig, 2 crossbows, a shield, a 4x4 black turntable, 2 4x4 green plates, and what may have looked like a 1x2 hinge brick and 1x2x2 grey brick (though it may have been hard to tell, (...)   Re: Leo's castle-- number mix up?

(...) Wow. That's *two* errors in the new Castle sets box printing. The other one is on the 6095 Royal Joust, which has the Portuguese name for 'Guarded Treasury' instead of the correct one. Bizarre. I wonder what happened? I wonder if LEGO changed (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Leo's castle-- number mix up?

(...) I hadn't even noticed the set numbers. That's really messed up (in terms of LEGO's old habit of numbering similarly sized sets together in the same xxxy range. For example, you could expact that the entire 608x range would be somewhat similar (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)
