Excellent suggestion!! I've been wrestling with MegaPOV lately, having frustration with different size submodels and the find_edges settings. Hi Lars, I was wondering if you had ever considered adding a feature to L3P to provide the lines at edges of bricks, so that we don't have to use MEGAPOV to do so? The advantages are that we would not have to play with MEGAPOV settings to get them (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

I just got another email discussing the use of orthographic camera and building instructions. The two do not work well together, and won't for the forseeable future. While beta testing LDraw Viewer, I created this model. It took only a few hours (spread out over a few days). (I created the model for real years ago.) You can get MLCAD's response time on refreshes to be much snappier by reducing the size of the 3D window. The isometrics don't take much processing power, even with large numbers of pieces. Also try running it under Win2k with lots'a ram. Win 98 (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

FYI: there is a 10.2.3 update. OpenGL is updated to 1.4 in this release. Has anyone else updated and tried LdGLite? I haven't installed it and don't plan to until next week (by then www.macfixit.com should have a good list of problems associated (...) (...) Manfred Moolhuysen developed this naming convention and posted (probably to the old lcad list) in May 1998, but I cannot locate a copy right now. IIRC the # was intended to indicate that the missing edges were not adjacent (which is what the (...) (22 years ago, 20-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Not sure how you were searching, but this primitive is used by plenty of parts 2400.dat 2554.dat 2865.dat 2871.dat ..... The file is in the ldraw.org official library, but if you're trying to use the URL like (URL) then you will fail due to (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I did a text search on all the dat files in my parts and subparts folder, and found that the "box3#8.dat" primitive isn't actually referenced by anything else. Don, I have updated a few things on mac.ldraw.org. I know the ldglite and technical page still needs major updating as well as some other things like the translation links. Yep, that did the trick. Now that you gave me the coordinates, I can see that I wanted the original y vector (0,1,0) to go to -z (0, 0, -1), instead of staying y like I had it. This rotating and scaling stuff can be kind of tricky to visualize, (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Here's something I whipped up that I find extremely useful for patterned parts in particular. When trying to put something inside a circle (or anywhere near a curved section), this lets you avoid 2 problems: 1: having to calculate the awkward (...) Hey Yaron, thanks, this is the first Ancient Americas MOC I recall in awhile. Somehow studs look good on Mayan pyramids, maybe because I'm prepared to see them somewhat "greebly".
