you really interested in watching a show in which 58 minutes of each episode
are devoted to establishing a basis for communication?
  As for subtitles, those are there for the viewers, obviously--I've always
perceived that some people in the Star Wars universe speak several languages
and simply prefer to communicate in their own; Han understands Greedo, Greedo
understands Han, so why bother speaking another language?

(...) True. From personal experience, people in real-life prefer to talk in their native toungue if they know that the person will understand them.
