I was bilingual from the start so a few things happened. Spanish and
English do not seem like separate languages to me. Instead it's like
having two vocabulary sets. I think in either. Sometimes they mix but
I usually speak whichever language is around me . At work and school I
speak English but I will switch to Spanish at will when I start
reading Spanish or when I am talking to another Puerto Rican.
