I found some excellent resources for the Hogwart's Express train, including a page dedicated to the actual train used in the movie! My first impression is that it can be done quite nicely. Some more attempts at the trapezoid shaped yard: R-Yard3: Perfect geomety, but the "main" line is composed of all curves. Not preferrable or very nice looking. (...) We picked up almost all the Rock Raiders sets. Two of the largest set. (Incredible Parts pack for Trains that set!) 6 of the Minifig sets. I nabbed all the Star wars buckets and whatnot.
