using my best 'Columbo' imitation... The rulz state that the 'bot must fit within 1 cubic foot. In past competitions, the robots must fit inside 1 cubic foot at he beginning of the competition but can expand to whatever size after you press 'go'. (...) So, after the last dinner, Derek showed us his "thing." It was LONG, and HARD, and it shoot those 2x2 blocks a LONG way. It was a great version of a lego gun. re this rule: 6. Only Lego pieces can be used and only "normal" construction techniques-No sawing, gluing or melting of pieces. You can use as many or as few pieces as you wish. What a great diner. We ended up closing the restaurant, THEN went to a local coffee shop and stayed till 2:30 am. A great time was had by many of the 20 plus people who showed up. So a few questions for rtl20 I think Derek asked this one--the 4 stud width beside the opening--does ths mean it can be 4 studs until the next opening, or does each opening require it's own 4 stud walls with no overlap? Instead of going with that same old silly 12" cube size rule; how about we just round up to 14" ?? ya see, I have this killough platform, and even after reducing it in all dimensions by 2 studs, its about 1.5" to wide.
