I literally laughed out loud in disbelief over this case. “A danger to Burglers”???

JOHN

The reality is that Mr Martin shot a 16-year-old kid in the back from a range of four feet using a weapon he should not have had. Read on: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/norfolk/2939490.stm

Right so even that article said the “16-year-old kid” broke into his home. If your old enough to commit the crime your old enough get shot for it. I for one would not let someone survive breaking into my home regardless of which direction their facing. I am not stupid enough to risk my life by shouting “freeze.” Of course I would just as easily shove a sword through said persons throat as shoot them. I don’t know maybe people just don’t get the concept of kill or be killed.

Nice. Burgler != killer.

So the ‘kill or be killed’ application does not apply.

Sure you don’t know the intention of said burgler, but because he broke one law doesn’t immediately mean he ‘s going to commit murder.

Well I certainly will not risk my life to try and find out first. If a person breaks into my house I will assume the worst and act accordingly.

If we justified killing someone because they broke the law, eeveryone that passes me on the highway would forfeit thier lives to your sword.

And stealing a 200 dollar TV does not warrant a death sentence in either of our two contries.

The inherent violence in the system. And you wonder why you’re labelled as a bunch of gun toting yahoos.

No, I wonder how people can be so pacifistic when it comes to their lives and property.

-Mike Petrucelli

Lives? How many criminal acts are there? And how many of them end with a death? I think the percentages speak for themselves.

I always love people who rant and rave about how Playboy leads to sexual molestors and predators “All those sexual perverts started with reading Penthouse!” they scream. It’s exactly the same as those people who swear up and down that smoking leads to hard core drug use--“YOu know, if you start smoking, you will be a drug addict!”

The percentage between smokers and hard core junkies-- the percentage between people who view ‘erotica’ and sexual pretators/molestors/rapists/whatever, and the percentage between folks who break the law to those who commit murder...

My friend was quite young, like 12, when he was caught in a ‘B&E’. He’d be dead if it was your house.

Nice.

Gun toting yahoo.
