In a manner of speaking, yes. You can expect a wrongful death lawsuit from
his heirs (and insurance company) unless you settle out of court. But even
so you may get some criminal penalty applied too... depending on the nature
of the accident (we didn't specify if we are talking anarchocapitalist here
or minarchy... I tend to prefer minarchy as i'm not convinced you can
entirely do away with common law and the legal system, and am willing to
grant government a monopoly on criminal justice)

Why is it wrong?
Are you referring to a specific marriage contract or just talking in
general. Absent a contract specifying some specific prohibition, which
presumably would also specify terms for breach, it's not wrong per se, is it?

Possibly. Depends on the contract.

Possibly. Depends on the contract.

Depends. Rather different in Nevada than Utah I suppose.

Your lucky day?

Well it's certainly selfless of you to volunteer for the research but it
probably won't be necessary. :-)
In general, I don't have to sell my house multiple times to know what the
value is, I can use comps and appraisals if I really need to know a value at
a particular time.

But we digress... Do you agree or disagree with the assertion that sharia is
not a particularly just system and further, that it may be symptomatic of a
fundamental problem with islam being considered a religion of 'peace'? I
didn't get a clear answer there yet I don't think....

To me, the fact that money gets involved to settle a crime is wrong. Money (...) (22 years ago, 22-Apr-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
