Re: Lego Shows and all that

(...) Just a little bit of extra news: GBs Chatswood has a 60cm long model of an X-wing (not the 7191 unfortunately) for a "guess the number of pieces" competition. Not much of a display up around it -- I'll see if they've tidied things up later (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

(...) Further to James's information, an enquiry call to LA this morning (to get replacement parts for my 7171 and 7161!!! No printing on Anakin's podracer doors and Obi-Wan's face was missing!!!) yeilded a bit more information. Confirmed the GB's (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

  Re: Lego easter eggs

They also have them at Kmart, which happens to have a 20% off sale on (chocolate) eggs this week. Some sets (eg 2847, 2848) are still around in those 3x little-set value packs for about $12. I haven't seen 2872 or 6790 anywhere else though. -- Dave (...) (25 years ago, 4-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  RE: Lego easter eggs

Actually, the eggs are just hollow ones, and the sets [RRP $4.25 Aus] are extremely expensive to get in this way [especially if you got them last year when they were sold in quite a few stores down here.] Benjamin Whytcross (...) (25 years ago, 3-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)

See! You guys may not get a lot of the normal stock, but at least you get the neat promos! I SERIOUSLY doubt these will show up in the States. I sure hope they DO, though, as I could use some of those sets cheaply (2872, 2880). And if they are (...) (25 years ago, 3-Apr-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)
