That's all five.  Unfortunately, deducing anything from these is iffy
because you don't know how early in the voting these choice were available.
The only one I can vouch for is the lead Pirates choice, since I'm
responsible for it.  The total number of votes that the BSB got were
probably between 1200 and 1300 (based on number of views and the high
votes/percentage for the top vote getter at the time I submitted my opinion
- and filtered through my memory of those numbers, which I won't swear by).
Looking at the highest views (those who voted when the opinion was
available) we see Battrax in second at 771, Black Falcon's Castle at 690,
Main street at 672, and the Yellow Castle at 556.

The trouble is that if those high-ranked opinions came in the middle or late
in the cycle, you don't really know what the final tally is.  It should be
noted that the BSB has an opinion with 910 views and yet another with 796,
and the Battrax had another with 741.  On the face of it, it would seem that
the BSB was a strong winner, perhaps the two Castle products nullified each
other, and the "weak" Battrax did very well, despite it's supposed
short-comings (hardly the automatic loser some presumed it to be - though
perhaps just a show of how popular Space is).

I wonder if we could weasel the entire data out of Lego?  :-)

Will those of you who voted for the other 3 sets please get and share the
info with the rest of us! It's slightly crazy that you can see what people
who agreed with you thought, but not see what others thought!
Gut evenink Kerry, here are the resuults of the Battrax Vote (/eurovision
song contest)

1 I think that it just looks cool and looks like something from the future.
435 votes, 749 views, 58% rate

2 This is a cool set and with a command base added to it it could be a
bigger theme than before and maybe a story line behind it.
135 votes, 294 views, 45% rate

3 Blacktron had the look, feel, and pieces so that even when you were tired
of playing with the set, you could make your own custom blacktron
vehicle/ship. 286 votes, 599 views, 47% rate

4 It looks like what I like to play with
248 votes, 559 views, 44% rate

5 Because I like anything to do with this theme.
309 votes, 771 views, 40%

Looking at it now, I can't help but notice 2 & 3 seem to be in the wrong
order.  Don't blame me, I'm just a cut'n'paster :)

(...) Jake responded to a question I posted over on fbtb.net that they won't release the actual vote totals, and that the order in which they are listed on the lego.com site has no relation to what was first place, second place, etc. Bruce (22 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.general)
