I am in no way saying MLCad is bad, just the 3d view rotation. By the way, you were wrong about both of those programs being paid for, ZModeler is free. I do know how much work goes into 3D, but I'm not referencing to anything that involves changing (...) (21 years ago, 13-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

In my opinion, the whole rendering system should be made Direct3D although that I know will create problems with culling. What really bugs me though is the EXTREMLEY difficult-to-use 3D rotaton. Michael, Could you look at the possibility of adding an option to let the user change the default Models directory to something other than the directory created by LDRAW? Hi all, Since I am translating (and re-writing) the helpfiles of MLCad in Dutch, I would like some more explaination on BFC. What does the option Use BFC Statements do in MLCad? Hello Niels Place the parts in your model as you like. Then select all desired parts holding the control-key down. Then move the selection arround. Another feature for MLCad (and other programs): Some sort of macro to insert more than one piece simulteneously and aligned to eachother (e.g. for windows with shutters and panes, or doorframes with doors), but each part gets its own line in the (...) Hi Tim, would it be enough to have some sort of extra window opened on request and showing the tree of an individual selected part or mpd? I have a small request for MLcad too. (okay, so it might not be a small request) ;-) I use many folder levels as I create new parts. I have another MLCad feature suggestion - what about a tree view of all of a model's dependencies? It would be nice to be able to toggle on/off views of parts and primitives (and submodels for completeness). I'm sure it will be useful for part (...) (21 years ago, 11-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

well i'm still at it. and i'm please to say that I think that things are getting better and better. Still not photo realistic, but I think that certian parts (ei... the inverse wedges on the roof) will never render correctly until the part is more (...) hey guys, the emails about the color libraries came all morning, and i'm glad to say that now I can use all the cool colors from (URL) well as the original colors from color.inc. I have finished the first "draft" version of the Dutch MLCad. See (URL) (in Dutch :-) Globally it says where people can download LDraw and MLCad + Dutch DLL file. Problem solved. Phew... :-) But the thing is... I did not do anything. I just copied the same files from an old backup I had and could not find any changes. No matter. You should not mix language id's in resource files. Since I'm from austria, every project uses german (austria) resource ids as default. Changing that will cause the parser and compiler to fail because it cannot find any important definitions. Try (...) (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
