I agree in principle with everything Amaury says, but before everyone
gets their knickers in a knot (or their shorts bunched up) the word
jealous is probably a small error in translation.
I'm going to assume Amaury is a native French speaker and will offer the
alternative word of "closely guards" over "jealously guards".
Michael has a lot of time and effort into the MLCad program, but none
of us can speak for him with regards to the reasons for not making MLCad
open source.
By the same token, Michael does not owe any of us an explanation for
his decisions either.
I'm happy MLCad works as well as it does. Full stop

| replying to both here : (...) No, this is a bad idea, in that it would lock up the software to MS and make it much more difficult to use under other platforms (read linux+wine) (...) Agreed, I like the way the 3d view controls from autocad works. (...) (21 years ago, 16-Sep-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
