I've made a C++ DLL (using borland bcc32.exe compiler 5.5) And can access it just fine using little delphi project but when I place it in your plugin dir and start lddp it closes again imedentenly. I've only implemended the plugin_info function the (...) (22 years ago, 5-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad)

Looks stable. Perhaps you can use the smooth pattern suggestion to draw a pattern in the back buffer and use glCopyTexImage2D( ) to make a texture of it. Would it be possible to inline certain hard-to-achieve POV-Ray colors in a primitive file so that the color would be available in rendered models without having to tweak the output file? FUT lugnet.cad.dev (...) This is by design, as the smoothing it performed at the part level. You can force other parts to be smoothed by adding the following line to the part dat file (near the beginning, preferably before any actual geometry): 0 (...) I haven't personally looked at it, but the thing to remember when writing C++ that is going to be accessed from another language is that you usually have to write C functions, and declare them as being WINAPI. Hi Carsten, I like your program a lot. Very easy to use and has UNDO !!!! One feature/plug-in that I would like is to be able to work on a part and see the results in realtime. LDAO allows me to do this with L3Lab. I figured LDView is supposed to do (...) (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad)

Hello! To be honest: I can't ;-). But i think that you can translate the dll-headers to C++ without problem. If they would be in C++ I would be able to translate them to Delphi ;). The dll funcs are very plain and should be easy to call. They only (...) (22 years ago, 4-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad)

I understand where you're coming from, but I personally feel that the registry does have its place, if used properly. Mind you, most programs don't use it properly in my opinion. LDView uses the registry to remember your settings, and to remember (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Hi, I'm the author of those parts. I will try to explain what is happening: Every stud has a "Fast Draw" version. If you open the directory ldraw/p, you will see that there are the stud.dat and the stu2.dat, the stud2.dat and the stu22.dat. (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) The file Stud29 would be the fast draw version of stud9. The fast draw version is the same as the regular version but it uses 6 sides instead of 8. Go to Settings->General->Change... in MLCad. Hello. Would it be easy to implement an "Explode" feature in MLCad? I.e. if you have inserted a "model" in your file, and explode it, it will be divided into the parts it's built up of. And then youy can explode, and explode till you're at the (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I'm sure I saw something about this some time ago, but I can't find it 8?( When I render using the LGEO library, some parts are rotated by 90 degrees from their correct orientation, eg 6536.dat (Technic axle joiner perpendicular). Nice to see that everything is ok. Those arms need to be fixed anyway. In the mean time I tried to speed up rendering using the vertex array range and fences extension on a geforce3. This seems to be about as fast as display lists but uses less (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad)

(...) cross compiler supports ADA so I built the windows versions for you and uploaded it to ldraw.org. Look for /home/dheyse/mpd_fil..._win32.zip The new executables seem to have longer names than the buildmpd and splitmpd mentioned on the MPD (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

A little while ago I wrote in lugnet.cad: (...) systems, so I can not compile the programs for MS Windows or for MacOS. I have updated my MPD tools, which among other things means that they now automatically search for both ".ldr" and ".dat" files, when putting together a MPD files. This is a good idea. Except forcing the user to a specific dir isn't that user friendly. So I think there should stay one tiny ini file in the application dir telling where to find the rest or something :) I seldom use the registry anyway because of (...) Hi Brendan, I hope my answers help some: (Long) (...) This is ldraw's root directory and contains the PARTS.LST file. (...) then you can use a program called l3p that will convert your model into a *.pov file. This a very basic description of the (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad)
