Great job as usual Brendan!

Thanks, Gary!

I admire that you've continued to follow this
through, most rest of us would have slacked off and quit after a few stories.

It's been very encouraging that the site's been so popular, and so many people
seem to be enjoying each new update of the site.  I have to admit that if I
didn't have the audience, I probably would not be continuing to work on the
project with such gusto.

What's the long term goal, books wise?

I eventually plan to make it all the way through and illustrate the entire
Bible, or at least all those parts of it which I find worth illustrating, which
really is most of it.  As long as I continue to find Bible stories that I think
people would find amusing to see rendered in LEGO, and/or will cast more
attention on parts of the Bible too often overlooked, I plan to keep at it.

I know there's some sections of the
Bible (Numbers, etc) that would be tough to translate interestingly.

It's true, there are some parts of the Bible that just don't lend themselves to
illustration (in LEGO or any medium).  At this point, I'm pretty sure I've
illustrated everything I ever will illustrate from the book of Numbers, which
has a few narrative stories which are separated by long sections of Moses
reading off The Law.  My solution was to separate all the narrative stories from
Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Leviticus and group those together as the continuing
story of the Israelites under the heading of "The Wilderness".  Then all the
non-narrative laws were illustrated as "The Law" which became a separate section
of the website.  Certain other material, such as the census information provided
in Numbers, or summarized re-tellings of the Exodus story, I chose not to
illustrate at all.

As I continue, I will probably take similar approaches to any non-narrative
sections of Biblical material.  But there's a whole lot of great narrative
stories still to come, and a fair amount of non-narrative stuff that should be a
fun challenge to tackle.

Glad you're still enjoying it.  Much more to come...

-Brendan
