My order from Hammacher-Schlemmer just came in; the total came to US$124.90 with shipping, and best of all, it's a RIS 1.0! Woo hoo! --k (PS: They even threw in some off-brand batteries, but I am definitely going to make use of the long-awaited (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I ordered a RIS 1.5 and recieved a 1.0. Should I be happy? I know the 1.0 has a jack for an external power supply. Also the firmware can be updated. So is there a downside to having been sent a 1.0 RIS? Thanks! Andy (25 years ago, 12-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
