You mean the 9-pin cable for the IR tower, right. Yes, you can use a much
longer cable. Get one with one female (holes) and one male (pins) connector,
and you should be OK. You have to use it on the computer end, because the
tower only accepts a very slim connector, like the one on the Lego supplied
cable.

Hi

Has anyone managed to use a cable length longer than that which comes with
RIS 1.5.? Have tried adding an extra length of cable to the Lego
one with an
adapter but can't get it to work. Should I get a whole cable of the length
required or is there a limit to it due to low impedance?

Clueless
Alan.
