Yes. As has been repeatedly been pointed out, by myself and others, going back
to the *very beginning* of this newsgroup, we're a major causative factor, if
not the primary reason, for Iraq's recent troubles. Some blame lays at the feet
of the British for their asinine partitioning, but much lays with us for
installing and propping up various dictators to play realpolitik...
"entangling alliances..." and all that
THAT reason for trying to fix things holds more water with me than just about
any other.
