I suggest 1.

I just got season 3 of ST:V, and I have yet to buy any TNGs or DS9s:-p

While I enjoyed TNG and I loved DS9, B5 just seemed less foofy from the start.
Instead of shields they have a defense grid. It consists of BFGs. One of
them in particular looks like its barrel is at least large enough for a runabout
to park inside. Much of the non-static feel of the latter seasons of DS9 was
believed to have happened as a direct result of the success of B5 in spite of
its lack of association with either Star Wars or Star Trek. And its the only
major sci-fi show that I can recall that actually features real physics when
dealing with any form of space travel (i.e. short burst with the engines lets
you coast forever).

We are a bitterly divided country ideologically speaking. This upcoming
election will be a harbinger of our next decade. I really think (and hope)
that Kerry is going to get Bushwacked in November.

This election is a lose-lose situation for the long-term political situation.
If Bush wins, our allies will hate us. If Kerry wins, our enemies will think
weve given them license to walk all over us (unless he immediately turns around
and starts launching more attacks). It would have been better if this had
happened during a 2nd term. At this point, I think Im more interested to see
if Reagan successfully broke that whole 20-year curse thing by surviving that
assassination attempt. If Kerrys destined to be elected, Bush Jr. only has to
hang on for another six months to be the first unscathed 0-year electee, as
anything that happens to him after the next president is formally installed in
office doesnt count.

| (...) Pardon? A vote for Kerry is an encouragement to the terrorists? Are you on the GOP's payroll? One could as easily suggest that the terrorists, recognizing that a fanatical, crusading zealot is out of the driver's seat, might pause to see how a (...)
