I was just over to my local K-mart and they had put out 5 or 6 each of the 10 small Throwbots, so I got one went to the checkout and instead of 6 dollars it scanned for 50 cents!!, yep that's $.50, HALF a buck!!. I honestly cannot remember the last time I purchased any Lego at full retail. I find that if I wait long enough, i get everything that I want at a price that is actually affordable. Is it the hazy mists of memory, or were the post-Xmas clearances a lot better last year? The only place I've found with decent clearance stuff is Target (so I'm glad they're building them up here now!) Everything else has been sadly lacking. Walmart (...) Last night I scored an RIS 1.5 for $100 at TRU on the clearance isle. The box was in pretty rough shape and was taped closed. It had a special sticker on it marking it down. All you other lucky people have been able to buy these sets for weeks, but they just barely appeared here in Southern California. My thanks again to Rose, I finally got through, and it turns out that she DID save the items I had asked for! I think that this reflects really well on Linda at the outlet -- a lot of places would not have waited for me to get through again. About (...) Well, I tried calling every 15 minutes since 8am.... when I finally got through around 9:45, she took my number and called me back. Everything I wanted was gone when she called.
