Lego is being generous? I would say they're being practical, having
concluded that the ill-will generated and costs involved in pursiring the
removal of scans is not worth the perceived benefit. Let's not forget that
this is a corporation we're talking about.

No, not generous. Practical, yes for them. Nice for us.... Possibly?

That someone was me. Statements like that show immense amounts of
disrespect? Coincidentally, this is exactly what AFOLs have been getting
from TLG for YEARS. This recent development of Brad Justus posting is a
positive one, but let's see where it goes before we all gather around the
campfire singing Koombaya.

Just need some clarification.... How do you mean that has TLG been
disrespectful to us? By the lack of response to our requests? If this is
what you mean, I don't see disrespect, but that our requests have fallen on
deaf ears. As you pointed out TLG is a corporation, and a foreign based one
at that. Corporations are notoriously slow to change.

All I am trying to say is, TLG just knocked on the door (finally!). Instead
of hitting them with all the issues at once, let them sit down, take off
their coat, have a beer. Then lets start a dialogue. Let's not overwhelm
them, and let's stay positive

As Brad stated...
........What do you love?
What do you hate? How can  we help you? Tell us – we want your input. We • know
you’ve got a lot to say – we’ve been reading your postings for a little • while
now. We are very encouraged by the commitment and intensity of the LEGO
community online – and that includes AFOLs. Perhaps, if traffic warrants • it,
we ought to consider creating a new newsgroup (or simply reformat • lugnet.dear-
lego) to serve as the online communication-to-LEGO channel. It’s up to you.

We have gave them plenty of stuff to chew on! Web suggestions, copyright
issues, etc. Bickering between LUGNET users really doesn't help.

My $0.2-1/2
Eric
