This is just a little nitpick, but I noticed that when MLCad starts up, it isn't maximized. It is set to fill the screen, but not actually in a maximized state. (...) You might have installed some files incorrectly. Assuming you installed in c:\ldraw, look in the directory/folder c:\ldraw\parts. There should be about 1864 files in this directory. When you add new parts to the library you have to options: 1) Modify or update the parts.lst yourself ==> then you have to restart MLCad (only during startup the parts.lst is read) 2) Open the menu "Files/Scan parts" and let MLCad search for new (...) (24 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I downloaded the latest parts update and added the parts to my Ldraw\parts directory as well as to Parts.LST. I'm surprised that this hasn't been mentioned yet, but 'skins' wouldn't be very hard to implement at all...in fact it HAS been done (although not in this context *). Simply make a two-dimensional part for each graphic and create a Graphic or Decal (...) (24 years ago, 29-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

OK, I have done a similar thing in my PCC which uses yellow tubing for handrails. the tubing needs to be 14 plates high so I changed the length -20 to -14*8 by hand in the mpd to get the length right, then moved/rotated the tubing around in (...) Well, why don´t you raytrace the models? Use POV-Ray or try Lightwave for it. For use Lightwave, you need a converter to convert from *.DAT to *.LWO. I have just done my first Pov-Ray rendering using LP3. It has turned out nicely except for the fact that it is very small. Can I increase the size of the model in MLCAD/Ledit? all of the parts are available for the 8448 except for the wheels, I dont know about the other 2 sets, I think that all of the parts for the 8445 are available but I think there are some missing for the 8444. There is a CTRL + 'M' for modify - still wana 'M' plain - no problem. CTRL + 'Z' is reserved for 'UNDO' - still not in but .... The next version will not report any errors which happen in the preview window. Errors which happen during loading/saving of a Model will be reported once only if the warnings option is on. I forget if I've mentioned this before here - One of the things that annoys me is when MLCad comes up with the warnings 'error xxxx.dat not found, continue loading?' - and it usually comes up many times at once, causing you to have to click ok on (...) When you input orientation/location info using the dialog box (accessed via the icon on the edit toolbar), the text boxes accept decimal data, but when you hit "Okay" the data is rounded back into integers. I was just thinking on offering something similar to bmp2dat.
