Is there a way to zoom into a specific area or scroll around once zoomed in?
When ever I zoom in I get the center point of my model which may or may not
(in most cases) be the area I want to look at in detail.

Before zooming select a part which should be the center after zooming, then
from one of the panes which should be zoomed press CTRL + SHIFT then press the
left mouse-button. Move the mouse up or down to zoom in/out.
Release the button if the view is as you like it.

To move the model in a view perform as above but hold down SHIFT only!

Michael
