(...) You are right, but the error handling problem is larget than just blanks in file names. All of this boils down to the wimpy method that LPub uses to parse LDraw files. Hi Michael, I'm working on a 'large' building with over 4000 pieces. Now i would like to find a single piece in my drawing, and looked for a 'Find' function. In MLCad, is there a way to rotate the gear teeth of the 24 tooth gear by employing the "Z" element toolbar commands? (...) Since LPub is not a renderer, it in fact does deal with models. Buffer exchange in LPub saves/restores the model up to the buffer exchange, not the images from steps. (...) (...) Yeah, in his first post Kevin said you could use Buffer Exchange and Ghost to acheive the effect, but it's not easy. Mark, My recommendation is to use buffer exchange. Buffer exchange lets you take the current state of the model, and put a copy of it in a buffer. Later you can restore the buffer, and erase any changes made between the store and the retrieve. (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

There is of course the option on Bricklink of uploading an XML file into your wanted list. If you could make a program that reformats an MLCad parts list into the required XML format you would be halfway there. I have tested this function with a (...) Right, did not think of that. Leaving both P and S dirs does the trick. What I did now was a full new install of all parts, both official and unofficial in another directory than my official LDraw dir. I created a temporary directory for only the (...) I wrote a utility, for my own use, about two years ago that takes a .dat file and attempts to find "best" way to buy the parts via BrickLink. I'd planned to produce custom sets and source the parts for them this way. It was working well when last I (...) Hello, when I used the new MLCAD arrows in submodels, I always had one problem: I couldn't ghost them. Only MLCAD interpreted the ghosted arrows correctly, the other programs (LPub, LDView...) didn't. Where's the problem? MLCAD does not ghost the (...) Hi all, Here is an update for the LEGO Facotry MLCad Favorites list. I have discoverd that some parts were double in the list. Some parts have a different LDraw number than the one LEGO uses. I ask because -mf and -mF ignore all STEP commands, but only for the non-interactive image file generating usage. There is a -D command (...) I discovered when rendering with ldglite that it doesn't ignore commands like 0 CLEAR and 0 STEP in submodels even when MLCad does. (Odd, considering it does recognize submodels.) Hopefully the next version of LPub will eliminate that problem by (...) (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) There's also the matter of the 2x3 and 2x4 wedge/wing plates. The 2x3 pair is classified as wedge plates and the 2x4 pair is classified as wings. I often have the Mode set to Pan instead of Edit (which disables the Add Part function, but not the Modify Part function), since you can still click/drag new (...) I'm mentoring several First Lego League teams. I built a sample lifting device using MLCAD to illustrate the principle of a parallelogram. I had it in sections and uploaded the mpd. Hi Michael, It is occasionally useful to be able to see the description of a part when it is hidden. I would like to suggest a new column, maybe to the left of "type", that has an icon depicting whether or not the line is hidden. Maybe a little eye (...)
