CSTUD.DAT wouldn't be recognized by LDraw and LEdit as anything special--these two programs recognize files named stud*.dat as special files; LDraw substitutes stu2*.dat when the fast draw option (...) (...) Actually, you are not quite there. The train modules I and the GMLTC build are 144 x 96 x 20 1/3 each and adding a single brick to the top beats yours. You may want to crib from the GMLTC car shop. That building has actual roof trusses. They aren't load bearing in that building, but they could be. I tried using LDRAW quickly ... noted I didn't give it much of a chance, but I seemed to have a hard time getting it to draw properly. Parts disappeared and they didn't seem to line up right. Introducing the biggest model ever built , 144 studs by 96 studs, by 21 bricks high, is my "RAILCAR MANUFACTURING FACILITY" 90% of it was done in SIMLEGO, currently 11 seporite dat files make up the whole thing (bunch of addons) homepage : (...) I'm not sure I understand your question perfectly, but I can use clones for two purposes: 1. A cool colour or shape that TLG does not supply. 2. Hacking! Building in micro-switches, making cable tunnels and such things. But I am a Lego purist in (...) (...) Why not invert a plate in LDraw and group them together, use it as a submodel? You don't need to model something like what you described. But to answer the question, I don't know. If I'm not mistaken, LeoCAD uses a different parts format than LDraw. Why does it do this? Why not use the native LDraw parts library? (Excuse my ignorance if that applies.) Is it possible to convert LDraw part files to a format understood by (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad.leocad)
