(...) I agree, but I would suggest calling it something more like "Restore Defaults" to avoid confusion. A "set default" button might be misinterpreted to mean that the current settings will be saved as the default settings. --Travis (19 years ago, 21-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub

(...) I've seen the described problem when I select a file from the recent files list, and then try to render it. Everything works fine if I manually open the file, but it definitely fails if I select it from the recent files list after having (...) (19 years ago, 21-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Great! One thing you do have to keep in mind when using LDView as the renderer is that LDView's background color will show through transparent pieces to some extent. The LPub background will also show through, but the color calculation that (...) (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LPub

(...) I have no explanation for this. The creation of the LPub dir and all subdirectories is all done in one function. The LPub\LDraw dir is the first one created. I just tested LDView and ldglite on windows 98. ldglite worked just fine. LDView does (...) (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Just tested it and that seems to fix the problem. Looks a whole lot better too. Tim (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LPub

(...) Kevin, this is the same error I documented here (URL) (before I saw this thread). It appears to be a LPub bug, as creating the sub-dir manually gets around it. ROSCO (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) It may be common to all recent releases, but I've found when rendering with ldview or ldglite (havent tested with pov-ray, but can't remember the problem) if the lpub\ldraw sub-directory doesn't already exist I get an error. If I create it (...) (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub

(...) LPub does a few things with mpd. First it unpacks the MPD file into LPUB\LDraw. If there is already a version of main.ldr there and read only, it could be a problem. Does your MPD have path information in the "0 FILE" statements? (...) If none (...) (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Please note that the LDView beta will make transparent parts 100% transparent due to a problem with its alpha channel handling. That means that the entire transparent part will be cropped away unless you have edge lines turned on (and (...) (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LPub 2.3.0.7 available (ldGLite working and looks Marvelous)

(...) Yes, the crop routine only checks the alpha channel when cropping. LPub used to crop using the RGB channels, but alpha channel is much more reliable. That is one of the many reasons I liked transparency. I'll check to make sure I don't have a (...) (19 years ago, 20-May-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
