Yes, the crop routine only checks the alpha channel when cropping. LPub used to crop using the RGB channels, but alpha channel is much more reliable. That is one of the many reasons I liked transparency. I’ll check to make sure I don’t have a mistake in my crop routine though.

Please note that the LDView beta will make transparent parts 100% transparent due to a problem with its alpha channel handling. That means that the entire transparent part will be cropped away unless you have edge lines turned on (and antialiased edges may need to be turned off).
