They did no such thing. The new HP Hogwarts Castle is a 100% new design. The
intent was to provide something that would appeal to those who had already
bought the original Hogwarts, but that could still serve as a focal set for
those who hadn’t. The original Hogwars was primarily built around the main
hall, IIRC. Here’s a pic of the new Hogwarts, which focuses primarily around
the front entrance, and includes a motorized clock that causes the main gate to
open:

| (...) OK so nobody likes my term "Switched around". Matters not. The point is that they had nowhere near sold the original castle to all the people who would likely buy one. | (...) She didn't mention marketing she said it would be "expensive" to make both colors. Words mean things... don't try to read into them what's not there. There would be no marketing needed.
