  Building Bridges

I have just baught my second 4559 (Cargo Railway). I never liked it but I thaught it needed a second set to make a reasonable train. Has anybody made an interesting train from two 4559's? I bought it second hand - it was interesting to note in (...) (25 years ago, 25-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

Just got a 99% complete 7722 the other day in a bulk purchase. I've got a lot of 9v stuff and had never seen any 4.5v gear. Great stuff! I can't believe that you work in such an esoteric industry (walnuts) and you're allergic to the oil! Talk about ironic. How are you set for large baseplates? I'm going to toss in a few more pennies out of my pocket, I am not a lego purist. I cut up lego to get it to fit. I use RS switches, and Tech 2 powerpacks. I use PVC pipe for Pnumatics. I have a battery box that has had major sugery done to it to (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

There is a lot of debate going on right now about the perceived future of LEGO trains. Many fear TLC will abandon the theme and that they will be left high and dry. Careful, some brands of silver duct tape are conductive. Electrical tape is better. For an all LEGO solution, merely mount the track ends one stud apart. The wheels cross over fine, and if you do it on a straight, you can put a baseplate or large (...) (25 years ago, 23-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)
