First off what OS are your running on? I do all emuLegOS development under Linux (Mandrake 8.1, not that it should matter), so if you are on any other platform you may run into issues. I've been wondering if anybody has any ideas why they chose to go with IR as opposed to RF? The substantial limitations of IR make it highly impracticle for robotics. There's one way for solving the problem with multiple IR communications at the same time. The method used for old computer networks is called a "token" wich is passed from PC to PC giving each one a chance to "speak". This could also be used for (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Take a look at my version of Mibo and play the GIF or AVI and you will see two RCXs operating 6 motors and 5 sensors communicating with each other with messages to synchronize the actions of the model. In the end, it all comes down to the power connector on the original 1.0 RCX. If you don't mind buying batteries while you're trying to debug your code, then the version you buy doesn't matter. (And with the 2.0 firmware on the web, the contents of (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.robotics)

From my experience, what you are describing is normal behavior for the current version of pbForth. Mr. Hempel has done an excellent job of creating a version of Forth to work with the RCX, but the work is far from complete. If you look at the (...) I don't know much about forth, but I'll try to help. I'm not sure that any firmware (normal) could keep the RCX from turning on. I know this is a little behind the times... I have Robolab 1.5. Can i purchase the Robolab 2.5 upgrade for version 1.5? You are correct in stating that I shouldn't have restricted you to 16 nodes X 16 ports. I did however, want to normalize the host address in the visible API and user interfaces to be a small 0..N number instead of a random hex byte value, properly (...)
