A cautionary note for situations where RL 2.5 and 2.0 co-exist as in schools which are in transition to upgrading their software. Bill, This exact same question was posted several months ago but I don't remember the sollution that they came to. This is my Idea: Ok you take two pulleys, pulley (A) is smaller then pulley (B). As mentioned in the RLS doc ((URL) there is mention of communicating with the sourceforge maillist legos-devel@lists.so...forge.net. I don't think this is the greatest idea for a couple of reasons. Hello, I'm new to LUGNET. I've had RIS 1.5 for about a year and a half. I've got lots of MOCs I'd like to share. My two favorite things are pneumatics and bipeds. Aaagh! Cygwin B20! That's about 4 years old, IIRC. The current version is 1.3.10, soon to be 1.3.11. Get it from www.cygwin.com - and where did you manage to find B20 ? In order to get around this, create a directory 'tmp' from within Cygwin's bash shell using the command: mkdir /tmp This will get rid of that (...) (...) The RCX 1.0 in RIS 1.0 has a jack, the RCX 1.0 in RIS 1.5 doesn't (unfortunately, I have two of them). The 2.0 on the RCX 2.0 is purely for decoration, there's no user visible difference whatsoever to the RCX 1.0 without the jack. Hi - the makefiles don't work at the moment for legOS on cygwin - this patch fixes that. It also stops a dependency generation command from being invoked by make clean, and, in the util directory, instead of compiling firmdl3, dll, and others in (...) Hi Johnathan, Aside from some very minor changes in the parts and the RIS software, the only difference between kits is the RCX 1.0 has an AC jack, which comes in handy for stationary robots like robotic arms or sorting machines. (...) The only way I've seen this occur is if you turn on NQC 1.x compatibility mode in the Preferences dialog. When I use the command SetSensor(SENSOR_1,S...OR_TOUCH); it says that SENSOR_1 and SENSOR_TOUCH are undefined variable. I have try to reinstall it but that did not work. Hi, you have to tell BricxCC/NQC that you are compiling for the RIS 2.0 firmware. To do this, select "RCX2" in the "Searching for the brick" window that appears at startup (you can also make this the default value in Preferences>Startup). (...) I,m in the begining stages od building my handyboard kit. But I seem to be having trouble with the charger card. It was while doing the testing for the max232 serial ic. I just wrote a program and I can't get it to work. I download it to the RCX and it just runs its motors. I look at the display and push on the bumper and it has those little triagles. Sam & Victor, Thanks for the prompt replies. I was led astray by the fact that I got a graphic image when I first opened that file (lib_hb_exp.ic). I used BricXCC and the USB tower to program the Scout. I was wondering how the programming was done by NQC. Are the Scout and RCX command sets compatible? How so? Hi John. There's another file that does it... I think it's an .IC file, but not sure. Since I'm at work, I can't check (No IC), but I found it simply by opening up various .IC files in the Handyboard directory. Eventually I came across a file that (...) I've been experimenting with Interactive C 4.0 and have run into a problem. I am unable to modify the list of files which are downloaded when IC4.0 is initialized. Concerning the name change, call for ideas and a vote, I would suggest that a NEW thread entitled similar to "Call for legOS name change" be created in lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos.
