They would get a job. They would buy cheap land (at ~$200 per acre!). They
would buy startup supplies including axe and loom. What's so hard about that?
Most of the so-called poor in America have it great (when compared to the poor
in truly hurting places, that is).

I don't see how it matters. If you have some kind of claim to my resources,
then you should exercise that claim and come collect. Otherwise, when you take
it (or worse yet, pay someone with big guns and lots of thugs, to take it for
you) then it is called stealing. You only have a right to invest your own
money. Not mine, not poor peoples', and not rich peoples'. Yours.
But, if you mean invested, then yes, I'm quite certain it would. If you mean
donated, as compared to the amount stolen by the government, I'm not sure. I
think a strong case can be made however that enough would be donated to cover
the few needs of the few who really _can not_ take care of themselves.
